The role:
Reporting to the WA Operations Manager, the goal of the WADC Manufacturing Team Leader is to provide the highest level of support to our WA Manufacturing team members whilst always leading them to achieve the highest levels of quality and service to all ARB customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Champion the company’s commitment to safety, not only by leading by example; but also, by ensuring that all manufacturing team members (currently 11) are meeting their safety requirements.
- Prioritise work and direct team members as required to maximise productivity on a daily basis, thinking ahead and allocating resources to achieve work schedules, while targeting reduction in lead times.
- Tracking and helping the team achieve the agreed KPI’s and targets by actively contributing to the completion of paint prepping, canopy building and product packaging and boxing as required.
- Ensure team members are appropriately trained to operate equipment and perform their duties accurately and safely. Assist with on-the-job training requirements for the team.
- Ensure manufacturing area is maintained in a safe, clean and tidy condition.
- Adapt to the changing needs of our business and our customers on a daily basis – remain flexible.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Demonstrated experience as a Team Leader within a manufacturing or production environment is essential.
- Safety focused, ensuring everyone stays safe is a priority in all we do.
- Efficiency driven – recognising the need to eliminate waste of materials and resources from the operation.
- Proven problem-solving ability.
- A focus on accountability, ensuring you and the team are delivering on expectations.
