The Organisation
Climateworks Centre is an expert, independent adviser, acting as a bridge between research and action to accelerate the transition to net zero emissions for Australia, Southeast Asia and the Pacific.
It also benefits from strong relationships with an international network of affiliated organisations that support effective policies, financing, and action for greenhouse gas emissions reductions. Climateworks was co-founded in 2009 by The Myer Foundation and Monash University and works within the Monash Sustainable Development Institute.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced manager with extensive experience and established networks to lead the delivery of multi-year system scale change and emission reduction programs in the Energy sector across Australia and South East Asia.
Highly collaborative, you will work directly with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders across business, government and academia to lead, oversee and deliver the scope, design and implementation of projects.
You will use your excellent leadership and people management skills to recruit and develop a program team, support, mentor and empower staff to ensure high quality performance.
The successful candidate will have postgraduate qualification in engineering, sciences, economics or a related field, or extensive industry or research experience in energy or climate related sectors. Extensive work experience and focus on low carbon energy transition is required for success in this role. The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, effective management and the ability to quickly assimilate new information and adapt in a complex intersection of Energy and Climate.
