Working in partnership with the LHD's and block funded by the Ministry of Health, they are delivering Psychosocial outreach support to people in the community. They work from within a recovery model framework, in a way that empowers individuals to live in the community with self-determination and independence.
As the Program Manager, every day will be filled with variety and satisfaction. Some of your core functions will include overseeing HASI & CLS Program and continue to develop and maintain relationships with the Local Health District, regional partnerships, stakeholders, Participants and their families/carers. Oversee the assessment and management of clinical and service delivery risk and manage mandatory reporting requirements. Lead program development activities including feedback, program design and evaluation. Contribute to the development of the program budget and manage budget expenditure within your area of responsibility.
You will have the pleasure to lead, coach and grow a small, fabulous team of people, who absolutely love what they do and who are completely dedicated to working in the psychosocial sector. They come with extensive experience in mental health. The team includes Team Leaders, Rehabilitation & Recovery Workers, Rehabilitation & Recovery Support Workers, and Rehabilitation & Recovery Peer Support Workers. The Team support participants within the Gerringong, Ulladulla and Kiola regions.
What you need to be successful:
* A passion for leading and guiding a team in a cohesive and respectful way, supporting them as individuals and collectively with a desire to continue the existing culture, as the best region to work, out of 93 sites
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in program management, ideally in a community outreach capacity
* A contemporary understanding of mental health issues and recovery orientated mental health practice
* Ability to develop rapport and actively engaging with people from all walks of life, including people from diverse backgrounds and professional backgrounds
* Effective communication skills, verbal and written including the ability to complete reports.
* Experience in working alongside clinical mental health services to achieve collaborative outcomes
* Experience in performing participant-led assessment and planning activities, developing specialised plans, strategies, and delivering specialist interventions
* Able to solve problems with limited guidance
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet applications
* Able to organise and manage time effectively so that outcomes can be achieved
* Ability to participate in out of hours activities as required to undertake the role
* There will be regular travel between Gerringong, Ulladulla, Kiola and potentially Wollongong, Shoalhaven and NSW South Coast.
Qualifications & Checks:
* Tertiary level qualifications in Mental Health or Community Services, the Social Sciences or related discipline
* NDIS Quality and Safeguards Module 'Quality, Safety and You'
* National Police Check
* Working with Children Check
* Up to date Covid-19 Vaccination status, including booster/s
* Current valid Driver Licence
