Talent International are currently recruiting for a Program / Master Scheduler to work for an Australian Federal Government Client based in Richmond. This position is a full-time 12-month contract with the view to be extended and is paying a daily rate of $750 - $850 inclusive.

This is a hybrid role offering 2 days working from home, operating on standard 8-hour days, Monday to Friday.

About the Team

The Participant Platforms and Process Improvement (PPI) Branch is accountable for the Program Management of the PPI Program. The Program will deliver improvements and deliver on the Participant Service Improvement Plan. These changes are about improving the way we work, without changing the Agency Act or Rules. The branch is responsible for creating processes to improve how participants interact with the Scheme and supporting systems to deliver an improved participant experience.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to
  • Report on whether projects are delivering capabilities in line with the baselined scope, schedule, costs and benefits in line with the agreed investment plans
  • Development and management of the Program Master schedule and interdependencies through tracking and analysis
  • Provide strategic oversight, informing the portfolio when reporting policy or strategy changes
  • Document the schedule management guidelines, templates, and standards
  • Assist Project Managers in the development of the work breakdown structure and in identifying internal and external dependencies
  • Assist Project Managers in the establishment and maintenance of their project schedules
  • Collate weekly updates of schedule/milestone status from program workstreams
  • Work closely with Risk roles to ensure risks and issues are appropriately tracked and impacts on program schedule are clear and escalated appropriately
  • Assisting project managers with the status tracking of dependencies relating to other major programs

Key skills required for this role:
  • Demonstrated experience working in program or portfolio delivery
  • Experience consulting with managers and Senior Executives
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Leverage Schedules to provide recommendations on potential risks, issues, dependencies and recommendations to drive an efficient and effective portfolio delivery.
  • Produce (scheduled and ad hoc) leadership reporting for the effective monitoring & management of the portfolio
  • Australian Citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this role
