Our client is seeking to engage an APS4/5 Program Support Officer
Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract Length: 6 months with potential extension
Eligibility/Security Requirement:Baseline as minimum
Position Summary
The Program Support Officer will work across the Program to undertake a range activity to enhance program delivery and support the day-to-day functions of the PSMB Program.
Specific Duties / Responsibilities:
- Provide project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones, and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project and workstream plans.
- Support the maintenance of key program and workstream artefacts in consultation and collaboration with the Program Manager, Governance Team Leader, and work stream leads.
- Undertake basic research and analysis in assigned project areas and contribute to the preparation of project briefs to support informed decision making and planning.
- Assist work streams as required to complete tasks to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved.
- Manage and organize PSMB Program documentation, ensuring proper retention and accessibility.
- Provide a range of secretariat and administrative support services to PSMB Governance Forums and working groups where required including coordinating meetings, agenda preparation, minute taking and follow-up action items.
- Manage the PSMB group mailbox to ensure timely and appropriate action.
- Respond to routine policy and project queries to provide consistent advice and information
- Other tasks as required to support the successful delivery of the PSMB Program.
Essential Skills / Experience:
- Program / project support experience
- Knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Secretariat / Administrative experience.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, coordination and time management skills.
- Sound interpersonal, judgement and strategic thinking skills.
- Track record of initiating and implementing administrative improvements.
- Strong computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Office.
