Do you have experience supporting people impacted by disasters?
We have a great opportunity for Program Workers to join our Recovery Connect team.
This program will support those within our community experiencing impacts from the floods. Workers will offer support, advocacy and referral to relevant services such as mental health, well-being, employment and navigating the services available.
The Program Worker will
- Provide high-quality, person-centred assistance
- Understand and provide information on services available for those impacted
- Facilitate referrals to other relevant services and walk alongside the person as they access these services or available government funding
- Collaborate across a variety of community-based organizations to ensure the best possible outcomes for community members affected by the 2022 floods
Applicants should
- Have experience working in the community or homelessness sector, or hold relevant/transferable qualifications and skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders, service providers and participants, empowering them to develop their capacity and resources
- Be proficient at completing a needs and risk assessment.
- Be passionate about making positive change in their community
