The role:
Senior Cost Controller, you will be working on cost related activities for a group of projects (Intecsea / Subsea) interfacing with around 4 PM’s. Cradle to grave cost control activities:.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assist with preparation of project progress curves from schedule and resource data.
- Establish man-hour and cost budgets from the services estimate.
- Monitor and record expended man-hours and apply contract rates to establish project costs.
- Data input and analysis of project cost data.
- Establish the capital cost budget from the estimate in accordance with the project WBS.
- Allocate budget to purchase orders and contracts and capture committed, actual, and forecast costs.
- Provide (as requested) special studies and reports such as cash flow projection, foreign exchange variations, overseas transportation, customs duty, logistics etc
- Prepare regular status reports and forecasts for project management and client review.
- Use earned value performance measurement metrics for analysis and reporting project performance.
- Produce the services cost report.
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess the following attributes:
- Good experience in a Cost role on a large project, Mining, Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, etc
- Ability to form and foster collaborative relationships within the business and externally
- Ability to communicate openly, honestly and effectively with peers, team and client
- Works well under pressure and performs steadily during peak work loads.
