Sydney Metro is Australia's biggest public transport project and first fully-automated metro rail network, connecting customers and transforming the way Sydney travels. About the team

Metro West is a new 24 km underground metro which includes nine new stations, stabling and maintenance facility and precast yards.

The Tunnel Packages runs from Westmead through into Hunter Street. It is a complex project, with many significant stakeholders and unique challenges, connecting the Central River City to the heart of Sydney CBD.

It is a once in a generation, city shaping project which will change how people live and work in Sydney.

The opportunities

Metro West currently has a requirement for 4 Project Coordinators to provide project support and contribute to the wider project management team.

To provide project management and engineering support to the Project Engineers in the delivery of construction activities, including environmental, safety, quality and productivity aspects relating to a contract package of works within a project.

Manage all assigned tasks to completion including assisting in the design and developing stages, monitoring progress and interfacing with a range of work groups to ensure the efficient use of all resources and completion of projects on time, to budget and to quality standards.

The role operates with autonomy within the requirements of the agreed work plan and operational priorities in consultation with the reporting manager.
  • Coordinate the development of project delivery documentation
  • Develop presentations, fact sheets and information documents
  • Create, maintain, and archive files and documents
  • Support project reporting and program reporting

About you

This opportunity requires good planning and organisational skills, with the ability to be flexible, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.

Ideally you will have experience within a project delivery environment or knowledge of project delivery processes and reporting.

Tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline, or equivalent experience preferably including experience in supporting and planning projects or maintenance.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is Grade 6 ($97k + Super to $107k + Super + leave loading).

This is a fixed-term position ending (December 2025) with the potential to extend.
