How will I help?
As our Program Director, you will be leading and managing program activities that deliver business and/or technology solutions, enabling Westpac to achieve its strategic goals, business benefits and outcomes.
You will provide leadership and guidance to the Program team and acts as the primary influencer of senior stakeholders and is also accountable for structuring a program of work and ensuring there is a viable business case.
You will also be responsible for:
- Managing a program of work to deliver solutions/capabilities that meet business requirements and realise benefits within agreed scope, time, cost, and quality
- Monitoring and reporting to the Sponsor and Steering Committee on status of financials, risks, issues and progress towards milestones, deliverables, and benefits
- Capturing learnings and the Intellectual Property through Knowledge Management and reapplying these learnings for future projects

What do I need?
- You will be a self-starter, able to work self sufficiently
- Ability to play a role model with an extended track record in successfully leading and delivering large and complex projects / programs with many of the following characteristics
- A wealth of experience within projects / programs with (minimum 3 years at Program Manager / Project Director level)
- Demonstrated ability to understand the differing business practices that exist within a large organisation
- Ability to play a mentoring relationship for the wider team
- Capability to facilitate and foster stakeholder relationships
- Power to exercise governance and best practise
- Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders
- Desire to be constantly challenged and develop new knowledge
Financial services background is essential
