Project Engineer- Bulk Earthworks

CGC Recruitment have again partnered with one of their longstanding clients, who are a leading National Civil Contractor who deliver complex infrastructure projects right across Australia. They deliver multidisciplined $bn+ projects across areas such as Rail, Tunneling, Resources and Renewable Energy.

They have recently been awarded a major government transportation project which will run for the next 3-4 years and due to an acceleration of work packages are in the market for an experienced Project Engineer to join the business on a s full time basis.

The role will be based in Brisbane for the next 6 months working on the development phase of the project which will involve; preparing the program of works, cost estimates, management plans and developing constructability methodologies. The role would then move in to a site based delivery role working on a 10/4 FIFO roster from Brisbane being responsible fro the delivery of the Civil & Earthworks packages which will be a combination of self perform and subcontractor management.

We are looking to speak to seasoned Project Engineers who are keen to get there teeth in at the front end of a $800ml + complex project and work with an team of elite construction professionals. The role will be a full time position and pay up to $140k + Super and offer an uplift of 25% once the project goes out to site.

Selection criteria:

- Degree in Civil Engineering

- At least 5 years civil construction experience

- Prior experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Civil Contractor self performing works

- Ability to manage subcontractors and communicate with middle management

- Project delivery experience major projects $100+

- Prior experience delivering rural construction projects would be an advantage
