About the Role
A great opportunity has arisen for a Project Engineer to manage the execution of brownfields MOC projects based in Perth. The primary objective of this position is to support the safe delivery of the planning, preparation and execution of the brownfields Offshore business in line with Santos Safety Management systems.
Accountabilities are delivered in line with the Santos company values and Santos Management System (SMS). Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Collaborate with cross functional engineers to develop concept select solutions.
- Support team members in the development of innovative solutions to project challenges
- Coordinate external engineering resources to support capital projects for FEED and detailed design.
- Manage scopes within the allocated Production Ops asset budgets.
- Ensure compliance with capital and fixed assets project delivery procedure for brownfields execution.
- Supporting continuous improvement of brownfields execution in Offshore business.
- Coordinate and monitor procurement, fabrication and vendors for allocated projects and act as required to mitigate issues as they emerge.
- Monthly reporting of allocated projects outlining actual and forecast schedule and budget.
- Provide site supervision for installation and commissioning of projects as required.
- Ensures compliance with and adherence to standards for EHS performance and behavior consistent with Company’s environmental, and health & safety vision and policies and standards.
- Some travel to site and/or contractor office to assist with engineering design decisions and development.
- Complete additional duties as directed by the C&FA Projects Team Lead, including step up responsibilities as required.
About you
- The successful individual will have the following:
- Engineering Degree Qualified and/or relevant work/industry experience in technical area
- Technical experience in Instrumentation and Control Engineering is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in maintenance and operations of oil and gas facilities
- Experience working in a brownfield project environment.
- Demonstratable experience of quality, risk and cost management in a project environment
- Strong understanding of Project Management principles and applying them to medium to large projects
- Demonstrated commitment to compliance with SWA HSEMS
- Understanding and experience with medium to large project delivery
- Strong commercial / financial understanding
- Demonstrated effective time management, communication and presentation skills.
- Proactive, collaborative and influential skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Flexible, adaptable and resilient in managing dynamic and multi-disciplinary project activities.
