About the role
We are currently seeking an Overhead Wiring Project Engineer to join our Transport for Tomorrow team on our More Trains More Services project.
Laing O’Rourke has secured a five year plus five-year programme of significant rail infrastructure works on project locations across Greater Sydney.
Works include earthworks, drainage, track work, overhead traction wiring, substations, signalling, platforms, bridges, building and building services across multiple sites.
Key responsibilities
- Review of design documentation
- Assisting in tendering & estimating of OHW works
- Development of material BOQ’s
- Planning & resourcing of OHW inspection
- Construction and maintenance works
- Site support and production of the associated QA documentation.
About you
- Valid Driving Licence & ability to pass a pre-employment medical; including drug and alcohol screening
- Construction Industry Induction & Rail Industry Worker (RIW)
- Engineering Degree (preferred) or equivalent post school qualification
- Knowledge of the Sydney Trains OHW System (preferred) or similar OHW Systems
- Proven years’ experience working in the Rail sector (preferred)
