Key Duties and Accountabilities: - Provide high level technical and commercial advice to the QRCUF project team and Resources Executive Director on technical and commercial issues relating to project deliverables.- Respond and solve emerging issues that arise with the potential to impact project deliverables.- Research and analyse critical issues, determining implications from a departmental and project perspective, making recommendations and facilitating the appropriate response.- Ensure all aspects of the project are delivered on time, within scope and budget.- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
- Liaise with the owner's team and delivery contractors to ensure the facility meets the requirements of the State and future users.- Perform risk management to minimise project risks and maximise opportunity realisation.- Perform consultation with project stakeholders and deliver upon negotiated consultation outcomes.- Proactively consider and test new ideas that align with the department and government's strategic objectives.- Manage health and safety processes from a project and operational level, ensuring compliance with relevant internal and external requirements for yourself and your team.- Develop technical specifications to engage consultants and contractors in line with departmental procurement processes.- Manage and develop commercial relationships with potential external parties looking to participate in the operations of the facility.- Manage and promote an effective relationship and interface between the department and internal and external stakeholders.- Prepare and/or organise the preparation of complex reports, submissions, briefing notes, presentations, speeches, publications and correspondence.- Other duties as directed and required.Role requirements: - A relevant degree or equivalent in a technical field (e.g., Science, Engineering, Other) would be highly desirable.- Experience in the management of construction and process facilities is highly desirable.- Project management qualifications and experience highly desirable.- C Class Driver's License is essential.- Overnight travel and work away from home may be a requirement of this role.
