We are seeking a Project Manager to join our Asset Solutions group.

The Challenge

As the Project Manager you will be responsible for running projects for the concept design, detailed design, construction and commissioning of Hunter Water's water and wastewater network and treatment assets.

What you’ll do:
Deliver Capital Works in accordance with Hunter Water's asset creation framework
Proactively manage internal and external stakeholders, safety, environmental and quality to ensure effective project delivery
Manage project budgets including cost control and forecasting

What you’ll need to be successful:
Essential Criteria:
Tertiary qualifications in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline (Other qualifications may be considered if a candidate has substantial project management experience)
Class C drivers licence
Construction Induction Card
5 plus years related work experience including experience managing capital works projects and programmes of work
Experience in consultant and contract management/administration
Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with an ability to build effective working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
Proven ability to work effectively within a team and demonstrate a high level of self motivation
Demonstrated skills in project management
Proven ability to work effectively in a deadline driven workplace and effectively manage challenges and changing priorities whilst still meeting team and corporate deadlines

Desirable Criteria:
Demonstrated knowledge of design guidelines and practices for water infrastructure
Experience in engineering investigation, planning and design and preparation of tender documentation of water and wastewater infrastructure
