Clerk Grade 9/10 with starting salary of $116,211 per annum
Temporary role based in Sydney up to 22 April 2024

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join Create NSW to support the delivery of designated cultural infrastructure projects associated with the Government’s Cultural Infrastructure Plan 2025+.

Part of the Department of Enterprise, Industry and Trade cluster, Create NSW focusses specifically on achieving the NSW Government’s priority of fostering excellence in arts, screen and culture in NSW. We work collaboratively with artists and arts workers, the arts and cultural sector and our partners within government to provide a range of support services including management of grants of varying scales to recipient government and non-government organisations; overseeing more than $2.5b in cultural infrastructure projects to create the spaces where arts can flourish; and managing a portfolio of arts and heritage properties predominantly leased to cultural organisations.

In this role you will manage one or more cultural infrastructure projects in development and/or delivery with management of scope, resources, timelines, risks and issues, stakeholders, quality and financial budget. You will be responsible for procurement and evaluation processes, contract administration and the supervision of consultants. Clear and effective communication and stakeholder management is key to the success of the role.

About You

You have at least 5 years’ project management experience in the development and/or delivery of major civic building or cultural infrastructure building projects and can deliver a range of complex projects with tight timeframes and budgets, political sensitivities and high levels of public interest.

You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to maintain strong and productive relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You will be able to influence and contribute to negotiations and supervise project team members.

A degree qualification in architecture, engineering, construction management, project management or a related field is preferred. You must have experience in building infrastructure as other forms of infrastructure such as digital, telecommunications, roads, rail etc will be insufficient to be a successful candidate for this role.
