About The Role

In this role with Origin, you'll provide your project management services and experience within a construction or tailings environment to the business in relation to our power station generation asset, Ash Dam. The Ash Dam Program of Works aims to maximise the value delivered by the ash dam, while managing risks to as low as reasonably practicable with a flexible investment strategy. The component projects include bulk earthworks, mine void remediation, soil improvement works and related mechanical and instrumentation works.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Scope, coordinate and deliver dam integrity and capacity related projects from inception to completion.
  • The development of detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resourcing plans, and project status reports.
  • Managing project budgets.
  • Managing risks and issues and taking corrective measurements to ensure minimal impact to the project.
  • Coordinate projects, project resources and their interdependencies.
  • Manage and effectively utilise resources across business units.
  • Manage and coordinate stakeholder communication.
  • Manage and coordinate the members of the project team (predominately contractors and service providers) to ensure work is completed in a timely fashion and meets the desired quality standards. Project team members may not be direct reports.
  • Identification of continuous improvement opportunities in field of practice via personal action and encouragement to team.
Is this you?

To be considered for this role you will showcase a passion for project management with a desirable background in construction, mining, or tailing.

You will also be able to demonstrate:
  • Demonstrated capability in Development Projects and studies (Concept, Feasibility, Pre-feasibility etc.)
  • Professional qualifications at degree level in an engineering, science or management discipline or relevant tertiary qualifications at the Advanced Diploma level or above and considerable relevant Project Management experience.
  • Demonstrated cost management experience which may include SAP project cost management
  • Demonstrable experience in developing professional relationships and effectively work with personnel across departments in an integrated organisation in performance of duties
