Your new role
This exciting opportunity for a PM to join the business from a commercial and defence perspective working alongside the wider team, clients and end users to support the delivery of multiple million dollar projects. - Managing the execution of project work within their respective commercial frameworks and providing leadership to the project team in this respect
- Maintaining project budgets, tracking expenses against the budget and analysing variances
- Continual reporting on project status both internally and externally
- Monitoring project controls (KPIs, schedule, cost, quality and risks)
- Ensuring sufficient resources are in place to support the schedule
- Building rapport with customers and key stakeholders amid schedule pressures
- Championing change control against the system and schedule baseline
- Correcting and treating project issues and risks within project contingencies
- Develop and maintain project plans for key project controls
- Supporting bid work to secure future business
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary Qualified / Aligned Defence Project Manager Experience
- Demonstrated experience in large and complex electronic systems across their capability lifecycle
- Experience with ASDEFCON (desirable)
- Project Management qualification from a recognised body e.g. PMI, Prince, AMP, AIPM, PMP etc.
- Experience with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6 and SAP
- Knowledge of ITAR requirements
- Collaborative behaviours, excellent inter-personal skills and sound working relationships with key stakeholders, clients and subcontractors
- Excellent report writing and verbal communications skills
- Australian citizen eligible to obtain security clearance
