Job description
Our client, a large Queensland Government Department, is seeking to engage an experienced Project Manager. You will have the responsibility of delivering of a business reporting solution, current to future state business processes, and the delivery of an integration between RAPID and SharePoint 2011. These three elements are equally important and are resourced from within their Service Delivery Tansformation (SDT) Program, while working in partnership with Procensol. You will report day-to day-to the Senior ICT Program Manager, SDT Program and for HR purposes to the Director ICTS. The role is a key member of the SDT Program leadership team.
This is an initial 16-month contract with a potential 4-month extension, based in Newstead.

Project management: you will have a strong drive for delivery of projects and initiatives on time and to agreed requirements, quality, cost and project control expectations;
Stakeholder engagement: you will be attentive to stakeholder needs, understand their business and requirements, and be experienced in working with senior business stakeholders;
Team leadership and self-management: you will inspire and motivate project and program team members to achieve the agreed outcomes and will prioritise, schedule, and meet agreed timelines;
Communication and interpersonal skills: you are open, flexible, and collaborative in your working style and mindset with colleagues, internal customers and vendors/partners.
Key responsibilities
Take full responsibility for the successful design, build, test and completion of your allocated projects and initiatives; working with colleagues to ensure that realistic project, quality, change control and risk management processes are maintained;
Initiate, influence and maintain effective communication channels and relationships with and between key internal and external stakeholders, including the Project Executive, Product Owner, Senior Users and Suppliers, successfully resolving concerns and issues with diplomacy;
Work collaboratively across the SDT Program leadership team and team members, ICTS and OIR to contribute to the successful delivery of the first tranche of SDT program projects, so as to achieve OIR's strategic digital transformation goals;
Fulfill all project controls including: monitor and control resource and capital costs against the project budget, applying duty of care to use of all Queensland Government funding; develop, maintain and deliver Agile, PRINCE2 and Queensland Government required project management documentation; prepare, communicate, action and monitor project schedules, undertaking resolution activities where slippage is possible; identify, communicate, action, and manage issues and risks for your projects/initiatives; and prepare and/or organise the preparation of reports, briefing notes, submissions, presentations and correspondence; and undertake regular project reporting to the Project Board.
Undertake additional responsibilities as required by the Senior ICT Program Manager or Director ICTS.
