Eden Ritchie is seeking 2 x Project Managers to successfully utilise professional leadership and management capabilities to deliver projects on schedule and budget, in accordance with statutory responsibilities, government priorities, funding agreements with project partners, departmental policies and procedures. The role requires an ability to drive and manage complex capital works projects from feasibility through to final project delivery.
- 6 month contract with possibility of 1 x 6-month contract extension

- Developing and maintaining key relationships with stakeholders, collaboratively resolving issues, ensuring effective project delivery and a high degree of stakeholder satisfaction.
- Assisting negotiations with consultants, local authorities, internal and departmental stakeholders, clients and contractors to ensure value-for-money solutions are identified and delivered.
- Identifying opportunities for improvements in relation to the delivery of building and construction services across government, ensuring that lessons learnt are well-documented.
- Providing comprehensive, accurate and timely briefings to the Senior and Executive Leadership Teams of the department, as well as the Minister, on capital works project and program issues, risks, strategies, policies and consultation issues impacting the portfolio.
- Contributing to the development of a major project pipeline, comprised of complex government infrastructure projects, with a focus on growth and job creation.
- Managing projects to ensure delivery that aligns with the client’s scope, time, cost, cash-flow and quality requirements.
- Reporting on the progress and delivery of projects against time, quality and cost indicators, through use of monitoring and review systems.
- Coordinating activities of other project staff, consultants, contractors, managers and other business units, to achieve project objectives.
- Assisting with the establishment and management of program and project level governance, as well as quality assurance procedures, throughout both the development and delivery phases.
- Demonstrated ability to manage capital projects, working within program and project teams and/or multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that risks are effectively managed and key program and project milestones are achieved.
- Strong commercial acumen and confidence to engage with consultants and contractors for projects of significant capital value.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide high-level, strategic and professional advice to a range of key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated exemplary written and oral communication skills and negotiation skills.
