The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), the principal organisation representing the medical specialty of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking a Project Manager to join our Practice, Policy and Partnerships team to manage the VIC Branch Training and Development Projects.
Working with lived and/or living experience project partners, this role, reporting to the Executive Manager PPP, will primarily be responsible to manage the delivery of two discrete projects, being delivered by the RANZCP via funding from the Victorian Government.
This role has a specific focus to:
- Proactively lead and deliver project outcomes within a deadline driven environment.
- Establish and maintain partnerships and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in Victoria, including the Department of Health and peak bodies for people with lived and/or living experience of mental health challenges, including consumers, families, carers and supporters of people experiencing mental illness.
- Provide expertise on project management and administration to inform committee decision making, including relevant timelines and other contract priorities.
- Research and analyse complex information relevant to the training and leadership projects.
- Work with experts in co-production to ensure planning and support for co production
of all elements of the psychiatry leadership development project. - Collaborate and prepare high level briefing papers, reports, correspondence and responses for the Branch Committee, and the RANZCP Board.
- Ensure that outcomes, deadlines, and reporting timelines are met within the
scope of the position.
The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, preferably with a healthcare background or experience in a similar role in tertiary education.
- Demonstrated experience as a project manager, including management of all
phases of project management and reporting. - Demonstrated experience in collaborative engagement, including co production
and/or co-design, principles and methodology, preferably in a mental health and lived and living experience context. - Capacity to work collaboratively within committee structures, and to undertake work independently and with supervision.
- Experience in the development of resources including online and/or webbased
material. - Ability to work in partnership with people with lived and living experience of
mental illness and recovery: consumers, families, carers and supporters.
