Qualifications & experience

  • Qualifications in either Construction or Project Management.
  • 3+ years' experience in project management within either a consultancy or contractor business within the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with clients and stakeholders, developing strong working relationships.
  • Demonstrated experience taking construction projects through the complete project lifecycle.
  • Excellent reporting and record-keeping skills. Previous experience using Simpro Construction Management System highly regarded but not essential.
  • Self-driven, dynamic and efficient operator who can manage multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Results-driven team player.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Developing detailed project plans and timelines, including project objectives, deliverables and milestones.
  • Developing scopes/material schedules for ordering for each stage of the job.
  • Considering, planning for and submitting all OH&S documents as required, which may include site visits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Managing project resources (labour and plant) and coordinating the efforts of team members to ensure the project is completed on schedule and within budget. Includes leading project planning sessions and coordinating with all stakeholders.
  • Communicating with clients to understand their needs/objectives and to ensure the project is meeting expectations. Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise throughout the project.
  • Managing project budgets and financials, including tracking project costs and managing project finances. Weekly reporting is an expectation.
  • Identifying and managing project risks and developing and implementing appropriate risk management plans.
  • Managing all project change requests and approvals.
  • Leading project closeout activities, including finalising project deliverables, conducting project evaluations and documenting results.
  • Working closely with other members of the Bruff team, relaying information on costs, labour hours and works claimable, contributing to the monthly invoicing processes.
