About the role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the position of the Project Manager (Remediation) will be responsible for leading the project team providing overall leadership of the project to ensure the project is delivered safely, on time, within budget and scope whilst ensuring all company and contractual objectives are met.
Key duties, but not limited to:
- Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Coordination of internal resources, subcontractors/vendors
- Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
- Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverable, dependencies, risks and issues, communicating across Line of Business leadership
- Contributes to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery
- Assist the Project Team to correct any noncompliance identified as part of an independent review process
- Administration of the contract focusing on Variations, Time bars and other notice requirements
- Collection and recording of key records and correspondence
- Establish a commercial management plan for the project which includes budgets and a cost code structure that can be maintained to provide value in confirming the health of the projects commercial position
- Effectively manage the identified risks and opportunities from tender stage and the ability to manage and administer the unidentified risk
- Development of project processes and procedures to support the Ventia Contract/Commercial management system
- Review and administration of subcontract agreements and tender documents
About you
Ideally you will have relevant qualifications accompanied with extensive Project Management experience on construction or civil projects.
You will also possess the following skills:
- High level of proficiency in the use of project specific computer software and Microsoft Office in conjunction with a deep understanding of cost control budgeting and management
- Demonstrated ability to engage with senior management and all levels of the project delivery team and belief that compliance with identified initiatives will deliver the required results
- Experienced team leader able to convince personnel of the need for compliance and cooperation without mandate
- Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organisations
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence
- Demonstrated ability to achieve goals within set timeframes and within budget; demonstrated ability to take initiative and be innovative
