This company is based in Coolum. Most of their jobs are residential renovation and remedial or maintenance jobs. They have a very attractive salary package to discuss, and a plan to directly employ full-time straight away with a standard probation agreement.
Our client is needing someone who is capable and confident in assessing complex building problems, providing solutions, and compiling tenders for projects. Has the ability to coordinate and schedule multiple projects
simultaneously whilst ensuring outcomes which deliver high quality results and are within budget expectations. The ideal candidate will be happy to go to site when needed, work directly with customers and various stakeholders, and work majority of the time in office. The adaptability of being in office and sometimes on site is essential to being a productive member of the company.
You will have very strong technical knowledge of the residential construction standards, codes and processes, which will allow you to estimate accurately on projects, not just schedule them.
Requirements:
Minimum qualification – Builder’s license
Extensive successful experience in the role of Builder on all types of residential works
Ability to measure on-site, prepare BOQ’s, quotations &scope of works
Procurement of materials / purchase orders
Subcontractor management
Excellent communication skills and the proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to work to deadline’s whilst maintaining high quality of work
Knowledge of building standards, codes & processes
Not Required/Benefical To Have:
Contracts administration experience (new projects / variations / completion)
Proven knowledge of building standards, codes & processes (Queensland)
Experience using estimating software
MYOB accounting software skills or ability to learn
