Council’s Facilities Management Unit, which delivers cross-organisational projects throughout the Shire, are looking for a Project Officer to join the team for a 2 Year period. This position will be responsible for the coordination, supervision and reporting of capital works projects from initiation to completion for existing and future Council assets.
The successful applicant must demonstrate experience in project management and contract administration, have outstanding communication skills and a broad knowledge of building processes associated with construction works of various capital works project types.
A degree or diploma in a Project Management, Building Construction or a relevant discipline with some experience or less formal qualifications with substantial experience is required. Certification in PRINCE2 project management or similar will be highly regarded but is not essential.
