ABOUT THE ROLE
The Project Officer Support Networks has been developed as part of a comprehensive Health and Wellbeing Program within NSW Ambulance. The Project Officer will further develop the NSW Ambulance Family Support Network program, the Domestic Violence Referral Network program and the Buddy Network Program and deliver these programs state-wide.
The Family Support Network program recognises the important role that families play in the wellbeing of staff and is designed to equip the families of staff to better understand the mental and physical challenges of the role of the Paramedic and others working in an emergency services environment.
The DVRNP is part of an integrated Staff Support Services program within NSW Ambulance that aims to ensure the health and welfare of the workforce. The DVRNP aims to support staff, via Domestic Violence Referral Officers, experiencing domestic and/or family violence. DVROs provide a point of contact to volunteer to provide confidential and practical support to colleagues who are experiencing domestic and family violence.
The Buddy Network Program links experienced staff members (buddies) with employees who are new to the area. Buddies help with logistics, practical advice, and orientation to the workplace and local area.
