The Project

The Utilities business are the preferred contractor on two of the largest energy infrastructure projects within the Australian energy sector, one of these projects is located in Queensland and the other in New South Wales. These two exciting opportunities secure a pipeline of work until 2027 and include the design & construction of new transmission lines and substations.

What will a day in this role look like:
  • Directly supporting and reporting to the Project Director in the planning, executing and finalising various aspects of the project for delivery to our clients.
  • Managing project functional managers including Community and Stakeholder Mgr., Environmental and Approvals Managers, Interface Manager, and Quality Control Manager to deliver the project according to schedule, budget and scope.
  • Overseeing the quality control throughout the project life cycle and ensuring we meet the projects objectives and deliverables
  • Focusing on interface and coordinating efforts of project team members, ensuring that our clients’ needs are delivered in a safe, timely and efficient manner whilst ensuring a safe and effective operation of the project through sound communication, promotion of Safety and Quality Assurance, technical assistance, and support across all functional groups of the project.

What are we looking for you to bring to the team:
  • You will have extensive Project Management experience working within the utilities and infrastructure sectors. Experience on power with a focus on High-Voltage Transmission Line projects would be highly regarded.
  • You will hold relevant project management accreditation equivalent to Australian Institute Project Management (AIPM), PMBOK, Diploma, PMP or equivalent years of demonstrated project management experience.
  • You will have a strong understanding and knowledge of construction principles in multi-discipline contracting environment.
  • You will have a high level of engineering and technical skills, as well as, business and commercial acumen backed by a sound ability to create, read, and interpret budgets, financial statements and analyse variance reports.
