About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Promotional and Scientific Engagement and Medical Governance Manager on a contract role to join our team.

Reporting to the Head of Central Medical Operations and Effectiveness, the Promotional and Scientific Engagement (PSE) & Medical Governance Manager will work closely with key stakeholders across the business including Medical, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Quality, Ethics & Business Integrity, Internal Control, Legal, Procurement and the Sanofi Business Units (GBUs) to ensure a solid, effective, and harmonized governance for PSE and Medical activities is in place across Sanofi Australia and New Zealand (ANZ).

Providing oversight and support for the implementation of local and global standards and key operational requirements, whilst operating with the highest standards of ethics, compliance and quality, the PSE & Medical Governance Manager will accelerate effectiveness, and maximize performance and value in delivering on PSE and Medical activities.

Priorities

Governance

Provide governance advice and support for Sanofi ANZ personnel with regards to all applicable laws, acts, codes, guidelines, Sanofi global standards and key operational requirements for PSE and Medical activities.

Coordinate the development, maintenance, and timely approval in Quality system, of local standards for PSE and Medical activities to ensure that they are consistent with all applicable laws, acts, codes and guidelines and Sanofi global standards and key operational requirements.

Monitor changes to Sanofi global standards and key operational requirements for PSE and Medical activities as well as applicable laws, acts, codes, and guidelines and ensure communication, including training as required, to all relevant stakeholders.

Proactively identify areas for simplification or improvement in Sanofi standards and key operational requirements for PSE and Medical activities.

Participation in cross-functional projects, including input into cross-functional Sanofi standards and key operational requirements, as related to PSE and Medical activities as required.

Onboarding and Training

Develop, implement and/or facilitate an on-boarding and training plan for Medical personnel to ensure understanding of responsibilities with respect to applicable laws, acts, codes and guidelines, Sanofi global standards and key operational requirements for PSE and Medical activities.

Collaborate with other key stakeholders across the business, as required, to input into the development, implementation, and/or facilitation of their on-boarding and training plan for non-Medical personnel, to ensure understanding of responsibilities with respect to applicable laws, acts, codes and guidelines, Sanofi global standards and key operational requirements for PSE activities.

Prepare, deliver, and evaluate training and support materials to facilitate learning on PSEA and Medical activities to embed requirements and a culture of accountability.

Collaborate with the Head of Central Medical Operations and Effectiveness, Country Medical Lead, GBU Heads of Medical to coordinate the maintenance of the local ANZ Medical Training Matrix for all Medical roles (separate to global Medical Training Matrix), to ensure all applicable training for PSE and Medical activities is identified and completed.

To be successful in the role we believe you should have the following;

Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine, Biological Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, or related fields

A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical, device or other relevant healthcare industry

Sound knowledge and understanding of industry laws, codes, acts, guidelines, and company requirements

Ability to drive a cross-functional culture of compliance and accountability with thoughtful risk taking

Self-motivated and proactive
