About the role:
Working in the Acquisitions Team within Property Services, you will provide technical property advice on the delivery of property acquisition transactions, ensuring they meet compliance and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Manage the delivery of the acquisition of land and easements within major infrastructure projects
Undertake feasibility analysis to assist with acquisition site selection for business case purposes as required
Manage the easement acquisition stage of the (E- Developer) workflow to facilitate Developers achieving Section 73 compliance
Manage land and easement acquisition through the compulsory acquisition framework E.g., Prepare Internal and external memos, compulsory acquisition property documents – ministerial, briefing notes
Negotiating and securing appropriate property tenure for the Corporations operational assets working within the Sydney Water and Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991
Manage and supervise the appointment of consultants (e.g., valuers, surveyors, town planners and Legal) on property related transactions
About you:
Tertiary qualifications in Property, Property development, Project management and/or experience deemed equivalent.
5+ years’ property industry experience working in property, property transactions, property development and/or planning
Experience in dealing with Developers, Local Councils, NSW Government agencies, and or statutory authorities
Demonstrated understanding of relevant legislative and compliance requirements such as Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991 and other relevant statutory requirements applicable to property acquisitions
Experience in stakeholder management and collaboration to achieve the project objectives including but not limited to, with Developers, NSW Government Agencies
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and communicate with external stakeholders affected by a project or acquisition including but not limited to private landowners, community groups etc.
Core Practitioner Certification from Centre of Property Acquisitions (desirable)
