The Owners Corporation team is one of the best in the country and led by specialists and experts in the field with decades of experience behind them.
They advise on all matters to do with OC, adverse possession, and fence disputes, as well as compulsory acquisition. They also act for property developers in a myriad of areas such as structuring advice, VCAT planning permits, title issues etc.
The Role
Front and back end : advisory and litigious role.
This role will have you providing practical and strategic advice to Owners Corporations in respect of various types of disputes concerning the Owners Corporations Act 2006.
You will assist Owners Corporations in governance and other property law advice, such as interpreting plans of subdivisions, leasing and licensing, adverse possession and dealing with managers and contractors.
You may also be involved in disputes between lot owners, contractors and managers and matters of defect claims arising from original building works under the Domestic Building Contracts Act 1995.
This is the opportunity to be involved in a variety of wider disputes including Water Act disputes, to debt recovery, insolvency, bankruptcy and contractual disputes.
Also an opportunity for conducting appearance work in Courts and VCAT on behalf of your clients.
