LOCATION: Borallon Training and Correctional Centre is located near Ipswich and accommodates primarily sentenced male prisoners. The Centre is focused on providing opportunities for rehabilitation through training, education and employment.
Psychologists working at BTCC have the opportunity to conduct assessment, deliver group and individual intervention and engage in case management to support positive outcomes. You will have the opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team and provided financial support towards undertaking supervision.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:
- Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based assessment and intervention for adults, experiencing difficulties related to mental health problems, cognitive impairment or developmental disorders.
- Well-developed written communication skills with the ability to provide high quality professional reports and case notes.
- Well-developed verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with a diverse client group and to effectively communicate with stakeholders in a manner appropriate to the audience.
- Knowledge, interpretation and application of legislation, policies and procedures.

- If eligible for registration as Provisional Psychologist, must be either currently on 4+2 internship pathway, or have completed an APAC accredited 5th year degree in psychology and eligible for 5+1 internship pathway.
