NALHN provides care to more than 400,000 people living in the northern metropolitan area of Adelaide as well as providing a number of state-wide services, and services to those in regional areas. NALHN offers a range of primary health care services across the northern metropolitan area of Adelaide, with a focus on providing preventive and health promoting programs in the community, and transition and hospital substitution and avoidance programs targeted at chronic disease and frail aged.
Lyell McEwin Hospital (LMH) is a 443-bed specialist referral public teaching hospital which has links to the University of Adelaide, University of South Australia and Flinders University. LMH provides a full range of high-quality medical, surgical, diagnostic, emergency and support services.
Modbury Hospital is a 220-bed, acute care teaching hospital that provides inpatient, outpatient, emergency services, Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care. GP Plus Health Care Centres and Super Clinics.

In this key role as a Psychologist, you will provide skilled evidence based clinical psychology services to consumers, their families and carers. You will be expected to complete a range of clinical psychology duties such as conducting complex and comprehensive assessments of client needs, developing case formulations and developing, implementing and monitoring specialised and targeted psychological interventions/therapies, as well as providing consultancy within the team.
In this role you will work collaboratively and liaise directly with medical, nursing, allied health staff and community mental health teams along with consumers and families/carers. In this role you may liaise closely with a network of government and non-government organisations with the aim of maximising wellbeing, assisting stabilisation of mental health, rehabilitation, and building functional capacity for self-management.
As a Psychologist you will apply clinical experience, increasing clinical knowledge and professional competence to plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive and integrated services to the needs of consumers. In this role you will work under limited direct clinical supervision and may provide direction and support to less experienced staff, allied health assistants and students.
To be eligible for this position you must hold an appropriate degree (Master of Clinical Psychology) or equivalent qualification recognised by the PsyBA. You must hold general registration with the PsyBA.
COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement under the Emergency Management (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) Directions 2021 to work in SA Health/health care setting.
