Think HQ Pty Ltd is seeking a Public Relations Officer.


At Think HQ, we use inclusive communications to tackle complex social challenges and promote for-purpose projects.

We’re looking for an experienced Public Relations Officer to join our rapidly growing team, where you’ll help develop and oversee the implementation of integrated and PR-led campaigns targeting diverse Australian audiences, working with and learning from experts across the business, and using your strategic communications skills for good.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent.

Annual salary: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 excluding SGC

Duties and Responsibilities include:
-Establishes and maintains cooperative relationships with consumer, community, employee, and public interest groups.
- Come up with different PR strategies that will lead to easy acceptance and appreciation of any new move by the organisation and our clients.
- Plans or directs the development of programs to maintain favorable public and stakeholder views of the organisation and client’s agenda and accomplishments.
- Studying the organisation and client objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build Public Relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services.
- Preparing and editing organisational publications, including employee newsletters or stockholders' reports, for internal and external audiences
-Maintaining cordial relations with the clients, potential clients, media persons
-Plans and oversees the delivery of media and stakeholder events
-Producing and/or overseeing the development of effective and high-quality written materials in a range of PR formats (e.g. media releases, eDM copy, stakeholder plans)
 

Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualification at the level of Bachelors Degree in a related field
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the role
- Excellent knowledge of print, online and broadcast media and PR processes, plus a genuine interest in news and current affairs
- A solid network of media contacts - journalists, editors and producers - and the ability to land high impact coverage 
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing for media and a variety of audiences
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects/tasks and meet set deadlines
- Proven ability to manage client and projects, develop effective PR strategies, meet deadlines, and liaise with suppliers and stakeholders
- Interest in or experience engaging with multicultural communities, including basic understanding of Australia’s cultural demographics, relevant Government policies and approaches, principles of cultural diversity
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to accept feedback and apply learnings to future work
- Experience planning and delivering successful media and stakeholder events or activations; and experience working on government or behaviour change campaigns would be considered a real bonus.
