Job Description:

The Purchasing & Inventory Control (P&IC) Manager - Isolation Valves (ISV) is a hand-on managerial level position with ownership of the Purchasing and Planning functions. The position is responsible for the on-time supply of product from both external suppliers and internal manufacturing, balancing inventory costs with product lead time requirements to meet the market. The position will require cross team coordination between Shopfloor Operations, Order Management, Finance & Strategic Business Units (SBU's) teams to support corporate directives for the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Production Planning team, ensuring production activities are aligned to customer delivery requires.
  • Develop, lead, and execute procurement strategies across both local & international Buyers, ensuring purchasing KPIs are meet.
  • Working with the Global Supply Chain Team and Buyers ensure all Supplier KPIs are monitored and meet. Develop RCCM on specific supplier when necessary to improve supplier performance.
  • Develop inventory management plans to ensure product lead time requirements are balanced with inventory investment costs.
  • Work with the Global Inventory Management Team on ensure inventory reduction programs are in place, monthly targets are meets, and compliance programs are in place.
  • Ensure Excess and Obsolete minimization programs are in place.
  • Lead the sites inventory control process, ensure regular Cycle Counting is being performed, inventory controls are in place, and corporate KPIs are meet
  • Work with the Global Logistics Team and local Freight Forwarder, ensuring compliance programs are in place and KPIs are meet.
  • Be point of escalation for the Tactical purchasing team and Operations for recurring and escalated supplier performance issues like Deliveries and Quality, support local needs as local liaison between Principal and site(s).
  • Work with the Global Supply Chain team on developing cost out programs related to controlling Net Material Inflations.
  • Support New Product Development (NPD), Introduction (NPI) and Customer projects
  • Develop key relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business
  • Develop & Improve workflow process in line with ERP software system
To be successful, you will require:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, or an equivalent APICS Certificate
  • 5-7 years functional experience in one or more of the following areas is needed: Supply, Engineering, or Operations, working in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Managerial experience for 2 to 3 years is required
  • Proven change management experience in a global organization
  • Experience in managing supplier development
  • 3+ years of proven negotiation experience
  • Experience in working with complex ERP systems, SAP preferred
  • Good understanding of the respective industry and supply base and key cost drivers
