Your New Opportunity:
An excellent full time, permanent opportunity exists for a Purchasing Officer - OES to join our dynamic team based at our Wacol, National Parts Distribution Centre where you will support the parts supply chain team. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Regular review and analysis of re-order / system generated forecast
- Creation and submission of inventory purchase orders in accordance with supplier agreements and company policies
- Maintenance and tracking of all purchase orders from creation to delivery
- Ensure data integrity including notification of pricing anomalies / changes to the Parts Pricing Supervisor
- Ensure items are delivered on time to meet operational demands and any discrepancies are resolved with supplier
- Identify opportunities for savings within existing supplier agreements
- Assist Regional Sales Teams through inventory support for promotional activities
- Assist Parts Reporting Analyst with SRM data entry
- Maintain and grow the relationship with existing suppliers
About You:
- Minimum 3 years purchasing experience, within a multi franchise operation preferred
- Diploma in Business / Supply Chain or equivalent recognised career history experience
- Strong analytic skills
- Strong commercial and customer focus
- Excellent communication application skills
- Proficient user in Microsoft Office Suite
- Parts product knowledge and familiarity with heavy vehicle industry preferred
- Experience in MDS / IDS / Pentana wholesale operating systems highly regarded
