Position summary
Downer Rail and Transit Systems Division have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Officer to join our team in Maryborough (QLD)

About the role:
As a Purchasing officer you will be responsible for performing purchasing and inventory activities covering a diverse range of goods and services across the business. The role will manage key relationships internally and externally with time sensitive deliverables a part of your KPI’s. You will evaluate quotations received, ensure preferred vendors are used and process requisitions through to deliver a valid Purchase Order. Other responsibilities include but not limited to invoice error correction, inventory/vendor management and maintaining accurate system data
About you:
Experience in a Purchasing and Inventory role
Experience with mechanical and electrical parts and suppliers
Experience adhering to strict company policies and procedures
Experience with inventory analysis and replenishment planning
Proficient using ERP and MRP systems
Strong Communication Skills
Experience working in a fast paced ever changing environment
Experience with invoice resolution with Accounts Payable department
