The opportunity:
Visy’s Primary Packaging Division is on the lookout for a Purchasing Team Leader who can steer our daily purchasing activities towards excellence. Join us and play a pivotal role in supporting our Purchasing Manager to enhance systems and processes, ensuring our operations are underpinned by timely and accurate data for outstanding category outcomes.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Spearhead a centralized team to excel in purchase order creation and management across various sites, nurturing a high-performing team environment.
- Standardise purchasing processes and champion the use of tools and templates, providing training and implementation to elevate our practices.
- Serve as the go-to person for the procure-to-pay process within SAP, aiding all sites with requisition to pay processes and supporting supply chain and order management.
- Oversee the transactional aspects of the purchasing process from end to end, ensuring seamless execution.
- Forge strong connections with Site buyers and key users to facilitate a smooth buying experience and drive improvements in processes, data, and technology.
- Address stakeholder needs effectively, influencing outcomes and driving change with your adept management skills.
- Collaborate with the Shared Services team to guarantee the prompt updating of Master data and resolution of invoice queries.
- Play an integral part in the inventory management processes, contributing to the division’s success.
- Take full responsibility for the purchasing activities, ensuring accountability at every stage.
What you will bring to the team:
- Bring your substantial background in procurement, ideally honed within the dynamic landscape of a manufacturing setting.
- Demonstrate your previous success in guiding a dedicated team, showcasing your ability to lead and inspire.
- Flaunt your familiarity with SAP systems specifically tailored for purchasing operations.
- Exhibit your intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook.
- Embrace a progressive mindset with outstanding communication abilities, a practical, hands-on approach, and the versatility to switch effortlessly between routine tasks and strategic process enhancements.
