An exciting opportunity now exists for a QA Manager to join the team. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager and with a dotted line to the Head of Food Safety & Quality, you will be responsible for managing the Ulverstone Quality team to provide technical support to all areas of production, ensuring compliance with relevant Simplot Policies, Procedures and legislative requirements.

What you will do

In this role you will ensure the implementation, maintenance and correct functioning of the factory's quality systems, to safeguard all processes, operations and products to meet all specified requirements under the Simplot Quality Management System (QMS). You will work closely with the site leadership team, to allow Simplot's operations to meet and exceed the levels of quality and food safety standards. A leadership role, you will manage the department budget, evaluate food safety risks and quality liabilities, develop, and manage your team.

About you

• You are a degree qualified Food Technologist/Scientist with a background within the Food manufacturing industry.
• You hold the experience and knowledge of working with multiple quality standards, major retailers, and quality management systems.
• You hold the confidence to ensure food safety at all costs, whilst working with relevant stakeholders to maintain production.

We require a proficient QA Manager who demonstrates confidence in making decisions and working with diverse teams. Industry exposure to food production, experience with HACCP methodologies and external audits is a requirement for this role.
