Australian Botanical Products (ABP), an IXOM brand, is a leading supplier of Essential Oils in Australia and New Zealand, with a growing presence in Asia. ABP has supplied essential oils, plant extracts and fragrances for use in a range of industries including cosmetic, pharmaceutical, food and flavour & fragrance. ABP is a TGA manufacturing facility offering contract manufacture and producing proprietary listed medicines for the domestic and export markets.
Expanding on Ixom's established Keith Harris fragrance & flavour manufacturing and Bronson & Jacobs distribution businesses, ABP strengthens and grow Ixom's specialised product portfolio, as well as local fragrance manufacturing capabilities, to open expanded customer markets.
Job description:
It is an exciting time to join our business as we continue along our journey of ongoing expansion, change, and transformation. Through continued growth and success, we are searching for a Quality Associate to join our ABP team based on site in Hallam.
Reporting to the Quality Manager - Life Sciences, this role will be responsible for TGA/GMP & HACCP compliance, quality assurance and compliance auditing.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficient completion of quality assessment and approval of Finished Product Work Orders
- Ensure all aspects of Pharmaceutical Quality Systems within ABP are compliant with the current requirements set by TGA, Food standards and safety compliance (HACCP) codes of GMP, ACO, Halal & Kosher
- Ensure a best practice approach to Vendor QA
- Host regulatory audits from TGA, ACO, HACCP Australia, Halal Certification body, Kosher Australia regulatory body and customers
- Perform internal audit as required by quality and safety standards
- Assist with the execution and maintenance of the quality management system
- Perform release for sale activities
Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications in Science, Food Science/Technology or related
- Previous experience in a similar role within a TGA licenced facility
- Recent and prior QA experience ideally in the Essential Oils, Cosmetic, Health & Personal Care or Food & Beverage Industry
- Knowledge of managing quality management systems and running internal audits against the QMS
- Ability to work well under deadlines with excellent time management skills
- Be approachable, enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable
- Good organisational skills and problem-solving abilities
