Locally, we’re making big steps forward with our state-of-the-art factory at Campbellfield, and we’re seeking a QA Coordinator to cover one of our team members on Maternity Leave.
The role
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager this role is responsible for the management of the QA systems. Primary focus is to assist with day-to-day running, development, review and improvement of new and existing Food Safety and QA systems that meet or exceed legislative and customer standards. Working closely with all production teams to ensure outcomes are achieved in line with QA standards, including contribution to new product development and assisting with the development of tools and resources to support the investigation of customer complaints.
Key areas of responsibility include:
- Demonstrate a successful track record working in a hands-on Quality position and be recognised for superior leadership skills, with the capability to gain respect, impact learnings and build relationships at all levels
- Coordinate the implementation of quality improvement and food safety programs into the workplace (including Quality Standards, HACCP, Food Safety Plans)
- Ability to create strong cross-functional partnerships at site level in order to promote true collaboration.
- Have a strong voice and the ability to direct and initiate QA strategy.
- A positive attitude that is resourceful, analytic, and accurate
- You must be solutions oriented – able to look at problems as a challenge and be part of the answer
- Compliance to Food Safety Plan including but not limited to Prerequisite Programs, CCP’s and QCP’s
- Manage and maintain the QMS including SOPs and documentation control
- Provide positive leadership, support and guidance to all production employees
- Respond to consumer complaints and non conformances in an efficient and timely manner
- Ensure necessary RCA’s are completed and preventative / corrective actions are implemented and maintained
- Actively remove hurdles for Operations and assist their team wherever able for them to deliver results
What we’re looking for
The successful applicant will be able to display strong experience and understanding of QA in a food processing environment alongside experience in Quality Management Systems and competent computer skills. You will have proven capability in internal food safety and quality audits, record maintenance and document management, assisting in the preparation and compliance for external audits and system reviews.
Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or Quality Assurance are desirable.
On a personal level, you will need to have well developed organisational skills and be able to demonstrate strong attention to detail and follow-through. Your interpersonal skills, coupled with a focus on solutions, will be a critical success factor in solving problems and working closely with colleagues across QA and Production.
