About the role
The Quality Assurance Manager will lead and manage the quality assurance activities for ALG to ensure compliance of ALG operations against relevant regulatory requirements and internal quality standards.
The role presents an exciting opportunity to design and implement a quality system to manage and monitor compliance gaps against the required standards and partner with relevant managers to deliver the rectification initiatives.
The role will ensure that all aspects of the business maintain compliance, by undertaking systematic and regular audits.
About you
You are passionate about driving a culture of compliance in an RTO environment. academic delivery. You have a solid working knowledge and understanding of VET Quality Framework and ESOS Framework.
You can collaborate and work in a diverse environment and you have proven experience in leading and managing teams.
You have excellent communication skills problem-solving abilities, time management skills, and a positive attitude.
Key responsibilities:
Quality Assurance and Compliance
Provide expert advice, leadership, and direction to the management team to ensure ALG maintains compliance with the relevant regulations and standards
Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of the VET Quality Framework and the ESOS framework and advise the business on changes arising from regulatory developments and industry best practices
Develop and update ALG’s policies, including writing new policies as required, consistent with regulatory and internal business requirements
Lead and manage the design and implementation of ALG’s quality assurance and compliance activities, including internal audit activities
Manage and report on continuous improvement activities including the continuous improvement register
Management of all regulatory submissions and communications to ASQA including any changes to scope, new course accreditations, and changes to ALG’s CRICOS registration
Coach and guide academic and operational managers to ensure ongoing compliance with required standards
Lead relevant quality assurance, compliance, and risk management committees and working groups
Internal and external reporting, including presenting written reports and recommendations to the CEO, the management team, and the Board of Directors
Data analysis and reporting including AVETMISS reporting
Other quality assurance and compliance duties as required
Relationship Management
Promote a culture of quality and compliance and encourage collaboration, innovation, and quality-driven outcomes across business operations
Function as the management representative for quality assurance on governing bodies and related sub-committees (as required)
Build and maintain collaborative relationships with regulatory bodies, professional associations, and other providers
Team Management
Foster a high-performance culture in the marketing team by providing clear goals and regular feedback
Actively engage in developing a positive and supportive culture within the team and across the group
Provide mentoring and coaching support for team members to assist in their development
Provide clear direction to and manage the work performance of team members
Adhere to all People and Culture processes ensuring engagement and retention of team members
Lead by example in driving ALG’s promise, beliefs, and values
Qualifications and Experience:
Degree or Diploma in quality assurance, internal auditing, compliance management, or similar field
At least 5 years experience working in a senior quality assurance or compliance role
Strong working knowledge and understanding of the VET Quality Framework and the ESOS Framework including the Standards for RTOs 2015 and the National Code 2018
Demonstrated experience in interpreting legislation, regulatory standards, and guidelines and summarising into practical reports and tools for management
Demonstrated operational and project management skills to meet variable workload demands and tight deadlines
Demonstrated experience in writing policies, submitting written responses to regulatory bodies, and reporting
Demonstrated experience in using management systems and databases
Sound knowledge of Microsoft 365 office suite
