Hays are proud to partner with Tasmanian Botanics in the search for a Quality Assurance Manager to join their established team. Located outside of Hobart, they produce and manufacture a range of medicinal cannabis for the pharmaceutical industry. In operation since 2017 and currently investing in construction of additional facilities, they are a growing company and have the opportunity for someone to join their quality team in a senior management role.
Your new role
Reporting to the CEO, as QA Manager you’ll be responsible for all quality aspects of the company related to Good Manufacturing Practice ensuring compliance to the Therapeutic Goods Administration. You’ll develop, implement and manage processes to ensure products meet the appropriate quality standards in accordance with all applicable legislative and regulatory requirements. This position will see you working within agricultural and pharmaceutical grade environments. Leading a team of 6 quality assurance professionals your role will include:
Responsibility of the quality management system
Management of change controls and quality risk management
Utilisation of training systems
Management and review of the stability program
Management of the environmental monitoring program within the manufacturing and packaging facilities
Overseeing of the Quality Control Laboratory for GMP related testing activities and qualification of all GMP equipment
Ensuring all suppliers of GMP related materials meet a level of quality and appropriateness through the vendor assurance program
Approval for release of raw materials for manufacture and packaging, as well as final release for sale of finished goods
Ensuring all GMP related records are maintained and securely held
Management of the internal GMP audit program to ensure compliance within all areas of manufacturing and laboratory functions
Host quality audits from external customers and regulatory bodies
Conduct regular management review meetings.
What you'll need to succeed
Ideally with knowledge of, or experience in, the pharmaceutical or nutraceutical industries, you are ready to adapt your existing knowledge in a unique environment covering non-sterile manufacturing processes. A proficient decision maker who is experienced in leading a quality assurance team, you:
Are degree qualified
Have a thorough understanding and proven experience of quality assurance
Show initiative and have strong decision-making skills, with the ability to generate expected outcomes and results
Have strong verbal and written communication skills
Can adapt your style to suit the needs of the business and individuals and are effective at building relationships
Work strategically and produce structured reports and documents.
