Quality Assurance Officer
PERSOLKELLY have a great opportunity for the right person to to join a QA team as a Quality Assurance Officer (QA Officer). Reporting to the QA Manager, the QA Officer with be responsible for the day to day quality requirements of the production area ensuring all procedures are followed and that products are made to the required standard.
The ideal applicant will have experience in a similar role, and show evidence of implementing, managing, and maintaining Quality Systems and processes in alignment with organisational requirements.

Responsibilities of the QA Officer
Amongst others:
- To provide support to the Quality agenda across the business
- To provide support to the site QA Manager and quality systems
- Complete staff training when required
- HACCP team member; Assisting the development and review of site HACCP plans
- To maintain and develop the legal compliance and food safety plans within site
- Complete complaint investigations and manage quality/food safety issues in production
- Monitor daily GMP, and regularly conduct Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits
- Actively support & participate in site continuous improvement programs
- To raise and find solutions to internal and customer non-conformances
- To assist QA Coordinator/QA manager with audits for the site
- To carry out other duties/projects as required from time to time in accordance with the needs of the business.
Your success in this position will be your ability to lead site investigations into food safety and quality incidents. Ensure that corrective actions to remedy identified deficiencies are enacted and recorded, and to ensure compliance with all legal, company and regulatory standards relating to quality and food safety.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
Essential:
- Food Technology and / or Science Qualification or extensive experience working in a high care facility
- Experience in food manufacturing within a similar role
- Sound Knowledge of HACCP principles
- A working knowledge of continuous improvement methods and processes
- Risk Assessment and Auditing skills
- Experience working with Quality Management Systems and the ability to pick up internal systems quickly and adapt
- Ability to work in and deal with issues in a fast paced, high-pressured environment.
