As Quality Assurance Officer, you will be part of a centralised team of 250 in, in the product and quality group, which is responsible for training and assessment strategies, assessments and learning resources. TAFE NSW has 600 qualifications on scope, each of which may contain up to 60 units, delivered face-to-face, online, or in blended/connected learning.
Reporting to the Lead Quality Assurance Officer, this position will:
- Monitor, review and report on the Product Quality Framework ensuring it is applied in the development of all Product artefacts including Training and assessment teaching and learning resources.
- Ensure Product artefacts meet all the necessary Educational Quality and Regulatory Requirements to meet student, industry and Training Package/Accredited Course or curriculum documents requirements.
- Develop consistent quality assurance processes aligned with the Product Quality Framework, that will ensure the integrity and quality of assessment and teaching and learning resources.
- Work closely with the product development team and provide expert advice and support to minimise rework to meet quality and compliance standards.
- Assist the Lead Quality Assurance Officer in the analysis of data and the preparation of status reports

- Quality assurance experience within the VET and/or tertiary education
- Outstanding attention to detail to ensure quality mechanisms meet VQF requirements
- Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines
- Appropriate Degree or Diploma at AQF levels 5-8, and appropriate vocational and/or industrial experience.
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, or TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment including the following units of competency: TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools and TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) skills or its successors.
- Working knowledge of Adult Education, Teaching, Learning and Assessment principles and good practices.
