About the Role
As a Quality Improvement Chemist/Engineer, you will be the steward of HBF product and process technology, directly reporting to the site Quality Assurance Manager. Your main objective is to support our Quality Control/Assurance function by upholding the integrity of our products through rigorous testing and Quality Control measures. This includes resolving issues related to yield, specification discrepancies, and out-of-control production processes using advanced tools like Statistical Process Control Methodology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, improve, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for QC and Work Instructions for QC equipment and processes.
- Maintain Quality documents such as calibration schedules, certificates of analysis and production batch documentation.
- Test and analyse raw materials, manufactured and purchased goods to ensure they meet our stringent quality standards.
- Collaborate with chemists or formulation specialists on new product scale-ups, raw material substitutions, and trial productions.
- Drive process improvements, conduct audits, and be actively involved in quality of production-related processes.
- Assist in the investigation and resolution of quality-related issues, aiming for best practice outcomes.
- Conduct quality audits to support continuous improvement within our facilities.
Who We're Looking For:
- Degree in Chemistry or Engineering, or Laboratory Technician with 3 to 5 years of experience preferred. Fresh graduates are also welcome to apply.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Access.
- A proactive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Willingness for interstate travel as required.
- Experience with SAP beneficial.
