Job Description


This is a part time role with the opportunity to have it turn to full time in the future.

The main responsibilities for the Quality Inspector Assistance are:

  • Prioritize workflow based on GU requirements as deemed necessary to support production
  • Assist in the maintenance of certificated calibration equipment
  • Assist with the Preparation of inspection and test reports
  • Take instruction from the Quality Inspector and Production Manager around tasks and priorities.
  • Assist with the inspection of manufactured and supplied products to technical drawing specifications and record results
  • Work directly with the Quality Inspector to perform and document first off and in process inspection, product and or process
  • By direction of Quality Inspector maintain equipment calibration
  • Liaise with at all levels, technical and production staff to ensure consistent workflow
  • Assist in performing and closing out any investigations related to non-conformance, defects, or customer complaints.

Qualifications
  • Trade certificate (Fitter & Turner/Metal Machinist), Engineering background or have exposure to QA/QC inspections
  • Experience in a related inspection and testing field
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems
  • Knowledge of API 5C, 6A and 7-1 requirements (advantageous but not required)
  • Knowledge of Oil and Gas premium threads (advantageous but not required)
  • Attention to detail and ability to use of various measurement tools is a requirement
