Well established (56 Years) family owned company manufactures and sells top quality Camper Trailers and Caravans using mostly Australian materials. A new position has been created for an experienced Quality Manager to manage quality systems to agreed quality, safety, and costs with the objective of our company becoming the industry leader for quality.  To continuously improve all aspects of the quality management system to provide us with an enduring competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Responsibilities

·     Eliminate factory defects (D1’s, D2’s & reworks) and production related warranty claims.

·     Develop, define, and document company quality standards.

·     Achieve and maintain a safe and healthy environment in all areas.

·     Manage and guide personnel in the production area.  Introduce and promote a “quality culture” and empower personnel to achieve high quality work.

·     Improve output and meet the production schedules by eliminating defects and rework.

·     Analyse and report on quality related issues.  Implement improvement plans based on the data and actively promote product design changes that will improve quality.

·     Manage a structured continuous improvement program covering all the above aspects of quality.  Develop a quality training plan for production employees. 

·     Ensure that company complies with the RVSA regulations and other relevant regulations.

·     Minimise all quality related costs. 

·     Will occasionally have contact with dealers and customers with quality related issues.

·     Attends camping shows from time to time, eg the annual Rosehill Caravan & Camping show.

Requirements:

·     Manufacturing experience

·     Previous experience in our industry - well regarded

·     Experienced in QA roles

·     Appropriate qualifications preferred

·     Practical approach to problem solving

·     Report writing skills

·     Team person with leadership skills

·     Ability to communicate with: Management, Production Team, Sales & Operations Planning Team, Product Development Planning Team
