The Quality, Safety, and Environment Manager will contribute to achieving the company's goals through coordination, development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality, Safety, and Environment Management Systems and related activities within the Oceania area to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
This role will be based in Adelaide, South Australia, and will be directly reporting to the APAC Operations Director.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advice to all staff across all divisions and functions, including the Country Director and EHS Committee, on all matters relating to Quality, Safety, and Environment.
- Administer QS&E Incident investigations and communicate with relevant stakeholders until all actions are complete.
- Coordinate the local implementation and reporting of Group EHS strategy and targets.
- Coordinate the development, implementation, maintenance, and certification of ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety, ISO14001 Environmental, and ISO 9001 Quality Management System Certifications.
- Support business units to continuously improve the Quality, Safety, and Environment Management Systems with a specific focus on improving product quality, increasing resource efficiency, reducing injuries, and reducing energy, water, and waste footprints.
- Recommend changes in the workplace to ensure compliance with legislation, standards, and policies including legal obligations.
- Coordinate internal and external Quality, Safety, and Environment audits and Management System Reviews including liaison with Group Functions ( Quality and EH&S ).
- Ensure Risk Assessments for routine activities are developed, updated, and available.
- Assist in the management and coordination of rehabilitation and return to work activities for injured employees.
- Deliver communication and non-accredited training on Quality, Safety, and Environment policies and processes with relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct Quality, Safety, and Environment inductions for new employees.
- Any other reasonable duties as requested, commensurate with the position.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum 10 years of work experience in Quality, Safety, and Environmental work experience gained within a mining, manufacturing, or industrial environment is desirable.
- Ability to set, prioritise, and efficiently complete workload, tasks, and activities
- Ability to think strategically, plan, make timely decisions, assign tasks, and mentor staff.
