Job description

Consistently recognised globally and domestically as one of the largest and most successful fund managers, this organisation is committed to maintaining a values driven culture, as well as actively developing and encouraging its people towards longer term career opportunities.  A highly visible and career defining opportunity is now available within the research team that aims to discover, share, and apply breakthrough insights about retirement savings and spending to drive better outcomes for pre-retirees and retirees.

We are seeking a Quant Analyst to conduct research to improve retirement outcomes of its clients. Your work will generate thought leadership with applications to the business internally, media, public policy, and the academic research community. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with senior business partners to influence products and services as well as collaborate on surveys and experiments to study how people make decisions for retirement savings and generating income in retirement.  This organisation has incredible people and an inspiring client centric mission.  If you are interested in making a positive impact on the retirement outcomes of households across the globe and have a passion for data, research, and working in teams, this is a great opportunity for you.

You are an experienced quant research analyst with outstanding hands-on technical research skills including simulation and econometric techniques.  Experience working with individual-level data and at least one statistical/analytical software such as Python, R, Stata, or MATLAB required.  Experience writing code (Python preferred) to access, transform, and prepare large scale data for analytics and modelling as well as experience with AWS tools (Athena and Sagemaker) preferred.  You will also possess strong written and verbal communication skills to interact successfully at all levels of the business, locally and globally.

For a strictly confidential discussion, please contact Ian Hackett on 0408 312 ***.  Alternatively, submit your application (Word version) via the Apply button.
