As the Racing Service Support Officer, you will assist in meeting this objective through the professional, timely and superior customer service delivered to existing industry participants and new entrants. Customer contact in this environment is principally by phone and e-mail.
About the Opportunity
This position is a supporting role to GRV's Racing Service department management team assisting in generating reports, maintaining quality training material and change management. In addition, this position is responsible for greeting visitors, answering and triaging incoming calls to GRV staff along with other requirements of day-to-day operations.
This position supports the administration of GRV's regulatory responsibilities which include the registration of owners, trainers, and greyhounds in the state of Victoria.
Responsibilities
- Initial point of contact for GRV inbound calls, responding to enquiries and attending to the needs of stakeholders in a professional and expedient manner
- Respond to email enquiries, providing clear and concise responses and where appropriate provide recommendations
- Manage incoming financial transactions, invoices and daily reconciliation
- Assist the Racing Services Management team to create and maintain department procedures and policies
- Generate reports relating to financial transactions and public information published on GRV website
- Provide administrative support for Team Meetings, book meeting rooms, preparation of agendas, minute taking, distribution of action items
- Ability to maintain professional independence under pressure
- Experience in a fast paced and customer focussed workplace
- Strong customer service skills including the ability to identify, recommend and implement changes to service standards to meet the needs of customers
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written including presentation and report writing
- An ability to develop effective workplace relationships and constructively deal with conflict if it arises
- Accurate data-entry skills
