To continue our success, we currently have a newly created and very exciting opportunity for a R&D Assistant Scientist to join our Packaging Team!
This role is on a Fixed Term Contract of 12 Months.
Reporting to the ANZ R&D Packaging Manager, this role will predominantly look after the preparation and optimisation of current packaging specifications for digitisation into our new SAP-Based Specification System. This will include existing packaging as well as new packaging items. You will become the SME for our new SAP-Based Specification System to enable its implementation across Australia and New Zealand and you will provide technical support to the ANZ R&D Packaging Team.
This role is being advertised as Brisbane, however we are open to candidates being located in either Brisbane or Sydney (our offices are in Tingalpa QLD and Chatswood NSW).
Key Accountabilities:
- Collect and organize packaging technical specifications for digitization into the new SAP-Based Specification System
- Validate correct migration of data to the SAP-Based Specification System, including proof reading
- Work closely with internal PepsiCo sites and external suppliers to ensure a smooth transition to the new system
- Work closely with Sector and Global teams (1 evening call per week), to track progress of the digitization and roll-out phases
- Assist the R&D Packaging Team with associated tasks as required
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Very strong attention to detail, communication and organisation skills are essential
- Degree qualified in Science & Technology (ideally Packaging or Food Sciences)
- 1+ years' experience in the Food or Packaging industry with proven history of developing technical specifications is ideal
- Experience working with SAP is advantageous
- Computer literate working with MS Office suite
